Repair Cafe

We’re excited to be holding our third Repair Café on Saturday 14 March 2025, 11:00 – 14:00.

Rampton Village Hall – 4 Church End, Rampton, Cambridge, CB24 8QA.

Repairs are FREE as they are done by volunteers but donations are very welcome to help cover the cost of running the event.

Bookings

A booking form will be made available about 2 weeks before the event

Drop-ins

We will be able to accept drop-ins on the day as we always reserve some slots for repairs that turn up on the day. Plus some repairs are likely to be done quickly and there’s always the possibility that repairs that have been booked don’t show up freeing up our repairers to do others.

While you’re waiting you can enjoy some refreshments in our café.

We consider repairs of almost anything you can carry including: clothing that needs mending, tools that need sharpening, pottery that needs gluing, jewellery, small household appliances, electrical items, bikes, clocks, mechanical items and much more.

Our jewellery and clothing repairers will definitely have the capacity to take on more repairs as those that have been booked are unlikely to require the full 45 minutes allocated to each time slot.

We cannot accept microwaves, televisions or anything that is difficult for one person to move on their own.

While we cannot promise to fix everything our repairers will do their very best.

Our cafe will be open throughout the event serving hot and cold drinks and delicious cakes – you don’t need to be having an item repaired!

Repair Cafés are fantastic community events which match people who need stuff fixed with people who like fixing things – a win-win!

We’re delighted to be part of the Cambridgeshire Repair Café Network run by Cambridge Carbon Footprint (CCF) and one of the 18 active Repair Café organising groups in South Cambridgeshire.

If you can’t make it on the day, there are additional Repair Cafés being run in the Cambridge area. Details can be found on the Cambridge Carbon Footprint website – scroll down past the FAQs.

This event is run in partnership with Cambridge Carbon Footprint and insured by Wessex Insurance.
